Job summary

PACS is seeking a maintenance worker to preserve the grounds and facilities in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include following maintenance schedules, performing repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), and ensuring safety policies are followed to protect residents and staff.

The role requires coordinating with nursing services, reporting incidents promptly, and maintaining equipment and areas in a clean, organized state. No supervisory duties are indicated.

Qualifications

• General maintenance tasks across grounds and buildings.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical repairs.
• Respect safety policies and protect resident information where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for each shift or area.
• Report accidents to supervisor immediately, even minor ones.
• Coordinate with nursing services during routine tasks in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking, driveways, and facilities.
• Replace burned-out lights and clean windows as directed.
• Service heating and cooling units per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of equipment and storage.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and report any breaches.
