Job summary

Artesia-Palms-Care-Center is seeking a maintenance assistant to uphold the grounds, facilities and equipment. You will follow schedules, report incidents, coordinate with nursing staff for routine tasks, and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical and carpentry as needed.

The role requires independence, tact, basic math, and physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds. You will support resident comfort and maintain a clean, safe environment in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and visitors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for the assigned shift.
• Report accidents to your supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, facility and equipment.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality of resident information.
• Attend departmental meetings as directed.
