Job summary

Planet Fitness in Shillington/Reading, PA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative. Starting pay is $11 per hour with planned increases after 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months based on anniversary date.

Responsibilities include greeting members, handling sign-ups, answering questions, processing purchases, and promoting fitness classes. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

• Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, guests, and prospective members.
• Answer phones politely and use information scripts.
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, log amenities.
• Respond to questions and concerns in a timely manner.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases at the point of sale.
• Promote fitness classes to members and new sign-ups.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe club environment.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Job Requirements

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
