Job summary

TEAMSOS (Special Order Systems, Inc.) seeks a Public Safety PSAP Smart Hands Technician to provide onsite and remote support for PSAPs in Leon County, FL. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot 911 call handling equipment and related network infrastructure as part of a NOC-led team.

The role requires travel regionally to five PSAPs, robust IT hardware skills, and the ability to follow runbooks and detailed instructions while complying with CJIS and ITAR standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT/Networking or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or CCNA preferred.
• Hands-on IT hardware installation and structured cabling experience.
• Familiarity with public safety PSAP operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits at PSAPs and perform hardware testing.
• Respond to break/fix service calls for hardware replacement, racking, cabling, and workstation support.
• Support installation and configuration of NG911 CHE platforms.
• Execute remote engineer instructions for troubleshooting and configuration changes.
• Install and verify connectivity for routers, switches, firewalls and security devices.
• Document all work in service tickets and logs per SLA requirements.
• Maintain spares inventory and coordinate returns/replacements (RMA).
• Adhere to CJIS, CMMC and ITAR compliance and public safety security standards.
