Job summary

Intrado is seeking a PSAP (911) IT Field Services Technician (level 3) to travel throughout Florida, primarily Broward County, installing and maintaining our 911 dispatch systems. The role involves on-site installation, troubleshooting hardware/software, and providing training for product lines.

You will lead and participate in field deployments, support customers remotely as needed, and help develop procedures for new product introductions. Local travel and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical customer service and installation or software training experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience with networking, Windows based servers and workstations required.
• Min two years of experience with Oracle and SQL preferred.
• Certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP, MCSE) preferred.
• Telephony knowledge (MDF, tip and ring, POTS) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel required.
• Knowledge of cabling (Cat5e, 568a/b, RJ45) preferred.
• On-call and night shift work may be required (11pm-6am).

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in installation of 911 call handling and dispatch systems.
• Travel to customer sites in Broward County to install and troubleshoot software/hardware.
• Provide on-site training for all assigned products and troubleshoot compatibility issues.
• Provide remote support to customers and service technicians as needed.
• Develop Method of Procedures (MOPs) and assist in new product training.
• Document issues thoroughly and maintain department files.
