Job summary

Allina Health - Lakeville is seeking a part-time Provider Coordinator to support daily clinical operations. The role focuses on scheduling patient appointments, coordinating procedures, and maintaining accurate department calendars to ensure efficient care delivery.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, prior authorizations, and basic patient intake while upholding high-quality customer service and accurate records in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years experience in a medical office including administrative support
• Proven scheduling and patient coordination abilities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments, procedures and tests
• Verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations as needed
• May register patients and manage scheduling documentation in the EMR
• Provides department reception, check-in and telephone coverage
• Maintains department records and training materials
• Assists physicians with reimbursements and credentialing
