Job summary

Allina Health, Richfield, MN, is hiring a Scheduling & Access Support specialist for a 1.0 FTE, 8-hour day shift. You will coordinate appointments inside and outside the system and support patients and staff with scheduling, billing, and access questions.

Responsibilities include documenting patient interactions in the electronic medical record, resolving patient concerns, and assisting with prior authorizations or referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.
• 2+ years experience in healthcare or other customer service position preferred.
• Basic medical terminology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides scheduling support and coordination of appointments.
• Functions as an in-clinic resource for patients, families, providers, and staff regarding scheduling, billing, and service questions.
• Processes incoming calls and correspondence related to access, billing, or service inquiries; facilitates price estimates or statements.
