Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical testing with protection and control focus.
• Experience with transmission/distribution relays (SEL, GE, ABB, Westinghouse).
• Experience with substation RTUs and telecom equipment for utility clients.
• Familiar with NERC CIP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relay equipment, RTUs, and communication processors.
• Functional testing for protection and control circuitry on transmission lines and substations.
• RTU/telecom upgrades for diverse clients.
• Review, document, and submit test reports for client reporting and regulatory purposes.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and configurations; spot discrepancies.
• Complete time/expense reports and maintain company vehicle.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technology, or Technical school diploma, or military experience in Army Prime Power or Navy Nuclear electrical program
