Job summary

POWERX in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to execute relay protection testing and commissioning tasks under supervision. You will grow from component-level work to system-level understanding, documenting results and supporting turnover packages.

You will work with relay platforms such as SEL,GE,ABB,Siemens, Westinghouse, and participate in safety, quality, and client coordination requirements on substations up to 765kV.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Familiar with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent relay platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned relay protection testing tasks under Senior or Lead oversight.
• Read and navigate one-lines, schematics, and panel layouts with confidence.
• Document results and support turnover documentation for commissioning.
• Collaborate with Senior/Lead and participate in pre-job briefs and safety meetings.
