Job summary

POWERX seeks a P&C Lead Test Engineer to oversee protection and control testing across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will lead testing, troubleshooting, and validation, mentoring junior engineers while ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

Experience with relay protection platforms (SEL/GE/ABB/Siemens), IEC 61850, SCADA integration, and field leadership is essential. Occasional travel to substations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in high‑voltage Protection & Control testing/commissioning.
• Experience with relay platforms from SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of protection systems.
• Oversee relay testing using Doble, Omicron, RTS, SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista.
• Validate complete protection/controls across substations, SCADA, RTUs, IEC 61850.
• Develop test/energization plans and ensure safety and standards compliance.
• Mentor Test Engineers and document results for turnover.
