Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to spearhead testing, commissioning and validation of protection and control systems across substations. This role serves as a technical leader and field mentor, ensuring safety, reliability, and alignment with utility standards and POWERX philosophy.

You will lead projects involving relay protection, SCADA integration, IEC 61850, RTUs, and system restoration activities, while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in high‑voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with relay protection platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; NEC/IEEE awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation for protection and control systems.
• Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate field execution with project teams and clients.
• Ensure testing aligns with utility standards, NETA practices, and project requirements.
• Manage documentation, test records, and client turnover packages.
