Participants join the Black and Gold Academy to build professional selling skills, learn account management, and gain hands-on field experience through shadowing and customer site visits. The program provides structured coaching, exposure to diverse segments, and a defined path toward future advancement into Territory Sales Representative roles within

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of sales experience or relevant customer facing experience.
• Recent graduates or early career candidates encouraged to apply.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
• Interest in a long term sales career with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Herc Rentals’ Black and Gold Academy, a structured sales development program.
• Receive training in selling skills, account management, territory planning and customer engagement.
• Learn Herc Rentals’ product and service portfolio across equipment, solutions, and divisions.
• Shadow Territory Sales Representatives to observe customer interactions and best practices.
• Visit customer job sites with sales leaders to understand project needs and equipment applications.
• Assist with customer outreach, lead generation, and revenue growth within territories.
• Learn core branch operations, including equipment processes and logistics coordination.
• Gain exposure to Industrial Services, National Accounts, Entertainment Services and Energy Services.
• Prepare for full time placement into a Territory Sales Representative role after program completion.
