Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in San Rafael, CA. You will support the property manager with daily operations, leasing, and resident services to ensure smooth, compliant property management.

You will handle rent collection, reporting, and coordination with maintenance while upholding high service standards and safety compliance. A bachelor’s is preferred, with real estate licensing beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of property management experience required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required locally.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in daily operations, including resident satisfaction and leasing.
• Manage accounts receivable, rent collection, deposits, and rent roll.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Process evictions and lease renewals as needed.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and safety compliance.
• Train staff on leasing, marketing, and office operations.
• Assist with resident relations and problem resolution.
• Attend property operations in the manager's absence.
• Maintain company policies and safety rules.
