Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and improve the physical condition of our properties. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacant units, and ensure safety and compliance across the site.

Responsibilities include inspections, inventory management, and coordinating with vendors while supporting cost-control measures. Strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing aptitude, plus EPA refrigerant certifications, are preferred.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• OSHA safety training or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and make-ready tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Follows procedures to access and track materials, returns unused items to the storage area, and notifies supervisor when reorders are needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and addressing debris as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools and materials efficiently.
• Attends safety meetings and assists in ensuring OSHA compliance; may inspect work performed by contractors.
• Performs periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and communicates issues to management.
