Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Essential duties include diagnosing defects from resident requests, completing work orders, making-ready vacant homes, inventory management, documentation, and supporting safety programs; EPA refrigerant certifications, valid driver's license, and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications required.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks inventory, secures materials, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and record-keeping.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts where possible.
