Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet safety and quality standards. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant apartments in a dynamic property-management environment.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license where needed, and readiness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and local jurisdictions require applicable certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventive maintenance.
• Finish the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Access materials from the maintenance department and track inventory.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform basic cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
