Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready vacancies, inventory management, and documenting service requests.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local compliance, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects, making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing by inspecting, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation so service requests are tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.
