Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

This role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and a rotating on-call shift.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications required (Type 1 and II or Universal)
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable
• Flexibility to work a rotating on-call schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to perform maintenance tasks and follow safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies, safety standards, and code requirements
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors
• Access and obtain materials from maintenance, track inventory, and notify supervisor for re-orders
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and records
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and minor repairs as needed
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently
• Assist in conducting property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and communicate them to management
