Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet quality and safety standards. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and complete work orders with attention to code requirements and safety policies.

Responsibilities include making-ready vacant units, inventory management, and routine property upkeep. The role requires OSHA training adherence and may involve after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (applies to Certified Service Technicians).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Follows the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Manages materials and inventory, and documents work performed for tracking and records.
• Keeps common areas and amenities in good repair, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible and using tools correctly.
• Assists in safety meetings and periodic property inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance.
