Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. The role requires completing work orders, make-ready tasks for vacant units, and basic preventative maintenance.

The position includes an on-site schedule, with rotating on-call duties, while adhering to safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling must be held.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions must be valid.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing and move-ins, including inspections, punch lists, and coordination with vendors.
• Maintains materials inventory, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Supports groundskeeping and upkeep of common areas, including trash removal, pressure washing, general cleaning, and painting as needed.
• Assists in cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
