Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair property facilities, ensuring safety and high standards across buildings and grounds. The role includes handling work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and accurate documentation, with routine safety training and possible travel to nearby properties.

Ideal candidates will have strong maintenance skills, OSHA awareness, and EPA refrigerant handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per safety standards, codes, and policies.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track materials, inventory, and re-orders with the maintenance supervisor.
• Document service requests accurately to support tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning and basic painting.
• Support cost-control by using parts efficiently and avoiding waste.
• Participate in safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Assist in periodic property inspections to identify safety concerns.
