Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to maintain physical aspects of our properties and ensure standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will handle work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with make-ready tasks for vacant units, ensuring timely inspections and quality repairs.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• State and local certification requirements as applicable to service technicians.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Perform make-ready tasks for vacants, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and supervising repairs.
• Access and manage materials, track inventory, and notify supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools properly.
