Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality.

This role entails completing work orders, making-ready processes, inventory control, documentation, grounds upkeep, and safety compliance, with bonus opportunities for onsite performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspection, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor to reorder.
• Completes service documentation and paperwork to document and track requests.
• Maintains grounds and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts instead of replacing when possible.
• Attends safety meetings, completes training, and reports accidents promptly.
• Periodically inspects contractors' work to verify quality and compliance.
