Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities meet standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will complete work orders from residents, diagnose defects, and perform repairs according to policies and codes.

You’ll handle make-ready preparations for new move-ins, track materials, document requests, support grounds upkeep, and assist in inspections.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal are required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the defect and repairing per policy and code.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins, including pre-move-out inspection and punch list.
• Follows procedures to access and obtain materials from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed; supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• May inspect work by contractors or vendors to verify quality and scope.
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
