Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to join our property operations team in Hayward, CA. The role focuses on routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks to ensure clean, safe, and functional buildings and amenities.

You will handle work orders, perform make-ready preparations for vacants, manage materials, and assist with grounds upkeep. A valid driver’s license and 1–2 years of experience are expected, with opportunities for growth within a large national portfolio.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of building maintenance or service experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate property vehicles or golf carts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Perform make-ready tasks for vacant apartments and coordinate with vendors.
• Access materials and tools, track usage, and notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
