Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the property's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality in line with Greystar standards. You will handle work orders and preventative maintenance, complete make-readies for leasing, manage inventory and paperwork, and assist with cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.

The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Must have all certifications as required byState and Local jurisdictions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-readies process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by performing pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
