Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of the property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

The role involves completing work orders, preventative maintenance, making repairs, and preparing vacant units for leasing. It requires documentation, safety compliance, and efficient use of materials.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.
• All state and local certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance while diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Accesses and manages materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies leadership when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service work promptly and accurately to ensure tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and performing related tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting and expense-control efforts by fixing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
