Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring all building components, grounds, and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose defects, complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, and assist in maintaining outdoor areas while following safety policies.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, coordinating vendors, documenting tasks, and participating in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic and repair work on building systems to meet standards.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendors as needed.
• Maintains safety standards and follows OSHA requirements.
• Keeps accurate service records and documents tasks completed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in building systems per policy and code.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing through pre-move-in inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory, obtain materials, and notify supervisor for reorders.
• Complete paperwork to document service requests and actions.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
