Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and assist with the make-ready process for vacant units.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, maintaining grounds, coordinating with vendors, and documenting work accurately while adhering to safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for certified service technicians).
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting completed work.
• Accesses and inventories materials from maintenance department; tracks usage, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering.
• Prepares documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed, and assisting in cost-control by reusing parts where possible.
