Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of properties, grounds, and amenities to meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, perform make-ready tasks for vacant units, manage inventory, and document work orders to support efficient property operations.

The role requires performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and following safety policies, with flexibility for call shifts and travel to other properties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining building systems and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose defects and perform repairs per code and policy.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing by completing pre-move inspections and punch lists.
• Schedule vendors, obtain materials, and track inventory for maintenance needs.
• Document all service work accurately for record-keeping.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using resources efficiently.
