Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the property's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for safety and functionality. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making ready inspections, inventory control, and general maintenance tasks.

Essential duties involve following safety procedures, maintaining documentation, and supporting cost-control programs.

Qualifications

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
Attend routine safety meetings and complete OSHA safety trainings.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance.
Prepares vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
Manages materials, tools, and inventory from the maintenance department.
Documents service requests accurately and promptly.
Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
Supports cost-saving measures by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible.
Inspects work and ensures quality.
Assists in conducting property inspections to identify safety concerns.
