Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Washington to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building interiors and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. You will diagnose defects, complete make-ready tasks, manage materials, and document work orders to support property operations.

The role requires OSHA safety awareness, on-site duties, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses at

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1, Type II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Handles make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Maintains inventory, tracks materials, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure traceability.
• Assists in grounds and common area upkeep; performs cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Contributes to cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Education

EPA Type 1 and II or Universal Refrigerant Certification
