Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of a Garden-style property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality across buildings and common areas.

The role involves completing work orders, making-ready tasks for vacants, inventory management, and routine site maintenance, with a rotating on-call schedule and potential evenings/weekends. Strong safety awareness and EPA refrigerant handling are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications are required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including on-call evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA-related training as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Manages materials access and inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor of re-order needs.
• Documents work in a timely and accurate manner for tracking service requests.
• Maintains grounds and common areas (trash removal, cleaning, painting) as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible.
