Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure physical property standards across buildings, grounds, and common areas, ensuring safety and high-quality upkeep. You will diagnose and repair issues, complete make-ready tasks, and maintain inventory and paperwork with a focus on efficiency and resident satisfaction.

You will also contribute to cost-saving by prioritizing repairs, coordinating with vendors, and upholding safety and regulatory requirements across properties.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• All required state and local certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance to meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards.
• Handles make-ready process for vacant units: pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials: tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Keeps accurate service documentation and paperwork for tracking requests and outcomes.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, debris removal, and painting of curbs/signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible and avoiding waste.
