Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our Michigan communities. You will conduct home and facility repairs, maintain grounds, and ensure clean, safe, and inviting properties for residents and guests.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, snow removal, lawn care, water testing where applicable, and reporting issues to the manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in maintenance experience in apartments/manufactured housing (Preferred)
• 6 months snow removal experience (Preferred)
• 6 months general maintenance knowledge (Preferred)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email/internet)
• Ability to work on-call

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance across communities.
• Completes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation and water systems where applicable.
• Maintains grounds including lawn care and snow removal.
• Cleans and maintains facilities and equipment.
• Reports maintenance issues to manager.
• Operates hand tools and power equipment safely.
• Ensures community areas are presentable and safe.
• Assists with supervision of service contractors.
• Maintains fleet of community vehicles and equipment.
