Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across residential communities. You will handle home and facility repairs, lawn care, snow removal, and utility system upkeep while ensuring curb appeal and safety.

This hands-on role requires reliability, teamwork, and basic computer use. The position emphasizes outdoor work, customer service to residents, and collaboration with a supervisor and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills (email/internet) expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain common areas and grounds daily to meet curb appeal standards.
• Perform minor repairs on rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation and water systems; conduct repairs as necessary.
• Keep vacant sites clean and safe; remove trash and debris.
• Shovel, plow, salt, or snow-blow as needed to keep streets clear.
• Mow and maintain lawns; manage landscaping tasks.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors.
• Maintain pools and vehicles; test water and chemical levels.
• Follow safety procedures while operating equipment.
