Job summary

Greystar in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and facilities meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and preparing vacant units for leasing with thorough inspections.

You will also maintain inventory, document tasks, and support grounds and safety programs while working a flexible schedule and following OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Complete make-ready processes for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track materials and inventory, coordinate with vendors, and report re-orders.
• Document work and keep accurate records for service requests.
• Assist in property grounds maintenance, cleaning, and signage painting as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety meetings; report incidents promptly.
