Job summary

Greystar Minneapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the property’s physical areas meet our standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and complete make-ready tasks for vacant units to support leasing.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with experience in preventative maintenance and documented work orders.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal required.
• Valid driver’s license required for golf-cart operation if applicable.
• Experience in building maintenance and preventative maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventive maintenance while diagnosing issues and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for reordering.
• Maintains documentation for service requests and ensures accurate records.
• Assists in grounds and common area upkeep, including cleaning, painting, and basic repairs.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
