Job summary

Greystar is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to uphold building cleanliness, safety, and functionality across grounds, amenities, and units. You will diagnose and repair issues, complete make-ready tasks for new move-ins, manage inventory, and document work orders to support efficient property operations.

This role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) or state/local equivalents and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/Type 2 or Universal refrigerant certifications are required for Certified Service Technicians.
• State and local certifications as required for all Service Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and equipment procurement.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying for re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, performs cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
