Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage service requests, perform repairs, and uphold the community’s safety and appearance. You will drive make-ready preparations for new move-ins, including inspections, vendor coordination, and supply management.

You will develop and enforce cleanliness and curb appeal standards across grounds and common areas, while assisting with budget considerations and cost control. A valid toolset and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; skilled with hand and power tools.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents, team members, and other contacts.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and respond to questions.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to handle numbers in financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects from resident service requests and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ordering supplies.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by service team members to assess effectiveness and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect contractors and vendors to ensure quality of materials and services meet specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for regular repairs and capital projects; support cost-control initiatives.
