Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building and grounds upkeep, diagnose and repair issues, and oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and a high standard of appearance across the community.

Responsibilities include coordinating vendors, inspecting work, maintaining tools and inventory, and supporting cost controls while delivering respectful service to residents and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or related experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools and safety practices.
• Customer service skills to interact with residents and teams.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects, complete service requests, and perform repairs according to policy and safety standards.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units, conduct inspections, and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Set cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and common areas to meet Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by others and contractors, ensuring quality and cost controls.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools; assist Community Manager with budget for repairs and capital projects.
