Job summary

Mill Creek Residential is seeking a Service Manager to maintain the physical condition and appearance of assigned communities in line with safety standards. The role leads routine work and preventative maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances and amenities, while proactively planning for potential challenges.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff and vendors, coordinating schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and Fair Housing

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance technician work or related experience.
• HVAC Certification required; CAMT/CPO preferred.
• Multi-family housing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect community grounds and buildings to ensure safety standards and identify maintenance projects.
• Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts for common issues and emergencies.
• Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.
• Inspect vacated apartments, document renovations, and re-inspect units for quality and timeliness.
• Respond to resident requests with timely, excellent customer service.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and service requests, expenditures, and make-ready status.
• Identify utility cut-offs and prepare maps indicating locations.
• Oversee work of internal and external vendors and maintenance service suppliers.
• Collaborate with General Manager/Community Manager in hiring, training, and supervision.
