Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

You will handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and the make-ready process for vacant units while supporting inventory control and supply management. Flexibility for evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required (Type 1 & II or Universal) for refrigerant handling.
• State and local certifications per jurisdiction may be required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing by performing pre-move-out inspections and creating punch lists.
• Manages inventory and procures supplies by following procedures and notifying supervisors of re-order needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
