Job summary

Southern Land Company is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our Las Vegas, NV team, providing world-class resident service with reliable, detail‑oriented maintenance support. The role involves completing work orders, diagnosing issues, and making timely repairs to ensure property quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property management maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Fair housing training (we can provide).
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service.
• Diagnose defects and perform repairs following safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and scheduling tasks.
• Monitor and replace lights and bulbs.
• Repair and/or replace windows, doors, fixtures, and basic elements.
• Repair appliances and report issues to the Service Manager.
• Manage locks and keys as needed.
• Perform plumbing, tile, and general maintenance repairs.
• Move appliances and equipment safely and assist with safety measures.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in grounds, common areas, and amenities upkeep.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Inspect work by contractors to ensure quality standards.
• Comply with safety policies and participate in safety meetings.
