Job summary

Nevada HAND in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to support on-site operations across apartments and common areas. The role demands hands-on maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry.

You will handle work orders, coordinate with senior technicians, assist in keeping grounds clean, and ensure safety policies are followed. A valid HVAC and pool certification helps progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months of experience in property maintenance capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Skills in carpentry, roofing, and other general construction-related items.
• Technical service-oriented background.
• HVAC certification and pool certification must be obtained to progress from Assistant to Lead Technician
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Reliable transportation. Own tools. Good safety habits.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests on a timely basis and ensure notices are posted.
• Perform maintenance on gates, light fixtures, doors, windows, laundry facilities, pool and pool pump, and appliances.
• Notify Senior Technicians of any supplies or parts necessary to complete the service requests.
• Perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Paint interior and exterior areas according to industry standards for preparation.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, and residents.
• Available for on-call work.
• Maintain storage and maintenance shops neatly and safely.
• Maintain company tools and equipment.
• Comply with laws governing tenant/landlord relations including Fair Housing.
