Sun CommunitiesApple Carr Village in Muskegon, MI, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the overall maintenance of community grounds, facilities, streets, and utility systems, while supervising the maintenance team.

The role requires 2 years of maintenance experience, 6 months supervisory experience preferred, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, pool, and grounds maintenance, with a valid driver's license and strong organizational/communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in experience with general maintenance techniques, repair work, and grounds.
• 6 months in previous supervisory experience preferred.
• 6 months in knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, pool, and grounds maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Follows-up on work assignments to ensure efficient, thorough completion of assigned work orders.
• Assists with the selection of contractual services and monitors on-site contractors.
• Performs regular inspections of resident sites throughout the community.
• Assists in move-in procedures including inspections, inventory checks, lot modifications, and supervision of contractors.
• Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures policy compliance.
• Establishes and prioritizes daily work of the maintenance team.
• Prioritizes and resolves community service requests and maintains logs of service types/frequencies.
• Assists with maintenance issues regarding new homes as directed.
• Maintains vehicle/equipment maintenance logs and ensures proper maintenance of community vehicles.
• Meets daily with Community Manager to report status and hazards.
