Job summary

Windward Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Spring Lake community in Stevensville, Michigan. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance, manage the maintenance team, supervise vendors, and ensure the property remains safe and inviting for residents.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience, solid knowledge of plumbing and electrical work, and the ability to work outdoors in seasonal conditions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in grounds and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
• General maintenance techniques and repair.
• Ability to work outdoors across seasons.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Proficient with hand tools and power equipment.
• Ability to file legible reports.
• Independent work and teamwork.
• Basic computer use (email/internet).
• On-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance for the Spring Lake community including building, grounds, and facilities.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate daily tasks and projects.
• Manage vendor relationships and on-site contracts.
• Ensure the community is presentable and adheres to curb appeal standards.
• Inspect playgrounds, pool areas, and recreational facilities for safety and operation.
• Perform or supervise minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Respond to resident needs and support safety procedures.
• Assist with project bids and contractor oversight.
