Job summary

Capital Square Living is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for our North Carolina properties. You will oversee technical and mechanical work to ensure interiors, exteriors, grounds, and amenities meet Capital Square Living’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking to diagnose problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager by delegating and completing work orders from residents.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors for quality and safety.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies and coordinate purchases.
• Support cost-control by using parts wisely and avoiding waste.
