S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Maintenance Manager to plan, organize, and direct maintenance for the community to keep residents safe, clean, comfortable, and to preserve property assets.

You will supervise on-site staff, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance, and manage contractors, inventory, and safety compliance to ensure high-quality service and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• General mechanical aptitude and ability.
• EPA Freon Recovery and HVAC certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees on-site maintenance and repairs across property systems.
• Plans turnover and preventive maintenance per work orders.
• Trains staff and coordinates outside contractors.
• Manages purchasing and inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Ensures safety with hazardous chemicals.
• Inspects contractor work and enforces quality standards.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
• Maintains property assets to ensure clean, safe living spaces.
