Capital Square Living is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Arden, NC. You will oversee maintenance across interior and exterior spaces, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and high standards.

Responsibilities include handling resident service requests, coordinating make-ready tasks, and supervising both staff and contractors to maintain property quality. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, customer service excellence, and collaboration with the Community Manager to uphold CS Living

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in basic software for records management (docs/spreadsheets).
• Ability to operate office machines (copiers, faxes, calculators, phones).
• Numerical skills for financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in delegating and completing work orders from resident requests.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units including inspections and vendor coordination.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and light painting as needed.
• Inspect work by contractors and service team to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory and order supplies within budgetary guidelines.
• Support cost-saving measures and respond to resident questions promptly.
